On 11th of December 2019 The Port of Koper – Luka Koper presented the works carried out within the framework of the ADRION Interreg projects SUPAIR, ISTEN, and ADRIPASS at the conference hall of the Convent hotel in Ankaran, Slovenia.

The ADRIPASS project represents the kind of intervention that focuses exclusively on the multimodality of port development in the area dedicated to the container terminal and its railway connections. In this sense, the activities related to the upgrade of ICT tools in the port, were presented to the public. The ADRIPASS project has contributed to the upgrade of the ACAR hybrid system, the digitalization of procedures through the Vehicle Booking System (VBS) tool and the upgrade of the EDI CENTER. With the opening of the second port’s gate in Sermin (end of April 2019) and the third gate in Bertoki (second half of 2020), the digitalization of data to be transferred through the stakeholders transporting goods from the port to hinterland, is necessary and the pilot activities developed through the ADRIPASS project have helped the operational procedures to be more slim, faster and constantly available. With the extension of Pier I by the end of 2020 and the increasing volumes of cargo from/to Far East, are requiring a parallel upgrade of existing systems and automation of procedures in order to maintain the competitiveness of the port of Koper and the logistic system linking the Northern Adriatic with Central and Eastern European countries.”
